To fulfill this mission, Senior LIFE is seeking hardworking, dedicating and compassionate professionals to join its team, with the Registered Dietitian being one of the most important roles.

 

The ideal candidate must be an ADA Registered Dietitian, have a valid driver's license, and must have one year's experience working specifically with an elderly or aging population.

 

 

Schedule of the Registered Dietitian

  • Monday - Friday, 8a - 430p
  • No Evenings, No Weekends, No Holidays

Requirements of the Dietitian

  • Must be ADA Registered Dietitian

Responsibilities of the Registered Dietitian:

This position oversees all nutrition and nutrition-related education throughout the center, including:

  • Developing comprehensive nutritional plans for each member, in line with his/her care plan
  • Implementing nutrition-based care plans and supplements, then evaluating members for improvement/change
  • Visiting in-home members to conduct initial intakes and dietary planning, then conducting ongoing visits/evaluation to check on progress and compliance
  • Communicating nutritional plans to physicians, nurses, family members and caregivers
  • Ensuring best practices are established and maintained in the LIFE Center kitchen and food prep areas, including food spoilage and sanitation
  • Managing and working within the LIFE Center nutritional budget
  • Working as part of a larger member interdisciplinary team, and serving as the voice of members’ nutrition/dietary needs
