PACE Healthcare Transportation is seeking to add another passionate, hardworking, innovative, and versatile professionals to join our team. In facilitating and implementing all transportation services, the Transportation Coordinator is essential to the success of this mission, ensuring all members have  transport to the center and, with it, the host of medical, social, and physical benefits associated. This is a management role, and the coordinator will have oversight of drivers for the center.

 

 

Responsibilities

This role requires supreme organizational and communication skills, ensuring that a host of key responsibilities and duties are seamlessly carried out daily:

 

  • Supervising all daily activities for drivers, including third-party providers
  • Coordinating outside services for members, including appointments, consultations and specialist appointments
  • Executing monthly driver training in areas such as member safety and escorting, accident avoidance and more
  • Evaluating vendor invoices and contracts
  • Managing vehicle maintenance in accordance with established best practices and OEM recommended schedules

Also, as coordinators will be highly family-visible, candidates will be expected to work in tandem with external caregivers to maximize the comfort and trust of members. Coordinators are expected to be available to family members consistently, and to exhibit strong listening and problem solving skills to best educate participants in services as well as upcoming appointments, activities and schedule planning. Coordinators will also be expected to participate in Plan of Care development for members.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must be an analytical thinker with the ability to quickly evaluate and prioritize needs while maintaining a positive, team-first attitude. Applicants should have a minimum of two years’ experience in a supervisory role, along with a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license to operate a van or bus. Prior experience transporting passengers with special mobility needs as well as CPR/basic first aid certification is a major plus.
